Okay, so I finally looked back at my last post from July (what?!?!) and realized that although some days have been suuuuuper long, these past few months have just slipped past me. Quick recap you ask...no problem!
- So in August Ava started Kindergarten, tear, and Adam started the Early Childhood program at my school. This means that we all are there together. It makes me happy to see them during the day and know that I am just a few steps away if either of them needs a hug, meds, the you-better-get-your-act-together eye or speech (Adam), or just to visit them for my own sake.
- Both kids have also been in swimming lessons since June and they are now both swimming! It has been so much fun watching them go from kids who liked water and would sit in it or float around with the magic arm floaties, to kids who loooove water and can actually swim under water. Their teachers have been amazing. This summer should be fun!
- October was fun. We had lots of fun trick-or-treating with some good friends and their kids. Ava was a cute little kitty and Adam was a pirate. He totally got the Halloween thing this year and was pretty bummed when he found out this only happens on a particular night rather than every night that followed it.
- Thanksgiving was amazing. We had it at our house this year. Very relaxing and low key...just our style.
- Now we are scrambling to get ready for Christmas. I LOVE Christmas and everything that goes along with it, from the hours of aimless shopping for who-knows-what for people, to the constant Christmas songs on the radio, in the stores, and on TV, and the wonderful opportunities to just be with the kids and watch the joy and amazement on their faces everywhere we go. It is truly the most wonderful time of the year!!!
And now we are up to date! Now if I could only find my camera cord connector thing to post pictures...
